Electric Valentine

Based in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, Electric Valentine was the brainchild of Lauren Baird-Zummo on vocals and Chris Qualls on synthesizers.

Their music was a fusion of ethereal vocals and hypnotic synth arrangements, creating a sonic landscape that was as mesmerizing as it was exhilarating. With each composition, Electric Valentine invited listeners on a journey through the highs and lows of love, life, and everything in between.

Their collaboration with the label Electric Fantastic Sound led to an unforgettable moment in radio history. When the label sent out their album “Automatic” to various radio stations, one station received the track “Body To Body” with too little information. Assuming it was a cover of the well-known track by Nitzer Ebb, they played it on air without previewing it first.

What ensued was pure comedy gold. The hosts, caught off guard by the unexpected sound, forgot to turn off their microphones and ended up airing the entirety of “Body To Body” while trying to figure out why the CD player was playing something completely different. The confusion sparked laughter and left listeners scratching their heads, but it also put Electric Valentine on the map in a way they never expected.

Their brief collaboration with Electric Fantastic Sound may have had its ups and downs, but it only added to the mystique and allure of this dynamic duo. So, if you’re ready to embark on a journey through the neon-lit streets of Los Angeles and dance to the beat of your own electric heart, Electric Valentine awaits. With Lauren’s angelic vocals and Chris’s mesmerizing synth arrangements, they promise a musical experience like no other, where every note is a testament to the power of love, laughter, and the electrifying magic of music.
