Atari Cowboy sound like the collision point between club electricity, punk abrasion and pure outsider instinct. Formed in Malmö by Jonas Avertoft—also known for his work with Cat Rapes Dog—together with Magnus Johansson, the project was built as an outlet for sharper electronic material laced with grunge attitude and zero respect for polite genre boundaries. The result is electro-rock with dirt under its nails: direct, volatile and wired to kick against complacency rather than decorate it.

From the debut EP The Fuzz to singles such as Autotune Your Life and Never Follow Anything, Atari Cowboy established a catalogue that feels both hook-driven and gloriously unruly. Their live reputation only sharpened the point: raw performances, restless stage energy and just enough chaos to make every show feel like it might tip over in exactly the right way. Drawing on influences as diverse as Joy Division, Soft Cell, IAMX and Nirvana, Atari Cowboy deliver the kind of electronic alternative music that still has teeth—music for listeners who prefer friction, personality and a little sweet disorder over anything airbrushed or safe.
