Quelles Paroles

Originating from the city of Malmö, Sweden, this is Quelles Paroles.

At the forefront of this musical endeavor is singer Magnus Johnsson, whose soulful vocals resonate with introspection and emotion. Alongside him are keyboardists Andy Axelson and Marcus Winberg, whose adept handling of synths adds depth and richness to the band’s sonic landscape.

Quelles Paroles may not fit the conventional mold of live performers, but their music speaks volumes. In the early 2000s, they garnered a devoted following with their contemplative melodies and heartfelt lyrics.

A notable milestone in their journey came with the release of their debut single “Life in Knots” in 2006. This track served as a poignant introduction to the band’s unique musical style, drawing listeners in with its haunting melodies and introspective themes.

Before carving out their own path, Axelson and Winberg contributed their talents as live keyboardists for the esteemed synthesist Eddie Bengtsson’s side project, This Fish Needs A Bike. Bengtsson, renowned for his work with iconic bands such as Page and S.P.O.C.K, recognized the potential within Quelles Paroles, laying the groundwork for future collaborations.

In 2019, their entire discography received a remix treatment courtesy of Diskodiktator, resulting in the album “Diskodiktator vs. Quelles Paroles.” This compilation showcased the band’s evolution and underscored the enduring allure of their music, affirming Quelles Paroles’ status as pioneers ahead of their time.

For those seeking music that resonates with sincerity and depth, Quelles Paroles delivers. With their heartfelt lyrics, evocative melodies, and unwavering authenticity, they continue to captivate audiences and leave an indelible mark on the music industry.
