Aeronaut V bring a cool, nocturnal sense of motion to modern synth music. Formed in Tampere, Finland, the duo unites Ville Brusi—known from Neuroactive and Flux Fin—with Arttu Korppivuori of Murnau’s Playhouse, drawing on decades of experience in the Nordic dark-music underground. Their sound is built on warm analogue textures, soft but shadowed vocals and a strong affection for early new wave, futurepop and synthwave, giving the songs a retro glow without reducing them to simple pastiche.

Starting with the EP Late Departure and continuing through tracks such as Discovery, Aeronaut V established themselves as a project with real atmosphere and clear melodic intent. There is elegance in the production, but also momentum: basslines push forward, synths shimmer with cinematic detail, and the band’s aviation-inspired imagery adds an extra layer of identity to music already rich in mood.
